Roughly two weeks after Orlando Business Journal first reported that Rio Pinar Golf & Country Club had been sold, deeds related to the transaction have posted to Orange County public records, revealing a significant uptick in the property’s sales value over the past six years.

The popular east side golf course at 8600 El Prado Ave. sold in two separate transactions Feb. 21 for a total of $7.25 million, records show — a more than 200% increase from when the property sold for $2 million in December 2017, but less than the $9 million it was marketed for.
The championship golf course — which in the past has hosted PGA Tours with star golfers such as Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Gary Player and Hale Irwin — was designed by architect Mark Mahannah with Lloyd Clifton.
