Here’s why NBA star Steph Curry bought a house in Winter Park

Although Steph and Ayesha Curry bought a Winter Park home, it doesn’t appear they’re moving to the Sunshine State.

Steph Curry, a point guard for the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, and his wife Ayesha, a TV cooking show host and entrepreneur, on July 11 paid $2.1 million for a house on Edwin Boulevard in the ritzy Central Florida town, according to public records.

Some wondered if perhaps the reason behind the purchase was to establish residency in Florida to save on taxes — or if he planned to play for the Orlando Magic in the future. However, the home was purchased for a family member, multiple real estate sources told the Orlando Business Journal.
