ORLANDO, Fla. — More summer heat is expected Monday across Central Florida, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the low to mid-90s.
The heat will be noticeable, with heat index values expected to reach between 98 and 104 degrees during the afternoon.
Residents should take precautions from the heat, especially during the hottest part of the day.
Rain chances remain relatively low on Monday, with isolated storms mainly developing inland.
About a 30% chance of rain is expected overall.
A few of the storms that form could produce gusty winds later Monday afternoon.
The weather pattern becomes wetter over the next several days.
Storm chances will gradually increase, reaching as high as 60% by the end of the week.
For today, plan for hot and humid conditions, with only a few inland storms providing temporary relief.
As the week continues, keep an umbrella nearby as the chance for showers and thunderstorms increases.
