PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A 57-year-old bicyclist from Hudson died after being struck by a car overnight on Sept. 27 in Pasco County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at the intersection of US-19 and SR-52.
According to troopers, the bicyclist was struck while attempting to ride across the highway.
The vehicle involved in the crash was a Kia K5 driven by a 50-year-old Brooksville woman. The car was traveling northbound on US-19 prior to the collision.
The bicyclist entered the vehicle’s path at the SR-52 intersection. Emergency responders transported the rider to an area hospital, where the bicyclist later died from injuries suffered in the crash.
