Iconic I-Drive hotel sold; all the details

International Drive’s unique Castle Hotel property is in the hands of a new owner after trading hands just two years ago.

Boca Raton-based Waramaug Hospitality sold the 214-room hotel, part of Marriott International Inc.’s Autograph Collection family, at 8602 Universal Blvd. to Orlando Castle Owner LLC on Oct. 13.

The buyer entity is related to Andy Chopra, an executive tied to Atlanta-based Banyan Investment Group.
