Law enforcement joins Special Olympics Florida for torch run through downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — We are just over two weeks away from this year’s Special Olympics-State-Summer-Games.

Law enforcement agencies from around Florida were in Orlando this week to help kick things off.

Orlando police and a representative from Special Olympics Florida gathered Tuesday to run a torch through downtown Orlando to Lake Eola.

Special Olympics officials said this is just one way law enforcement helps the athletes for the summer games.
