ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A new lawsuit accuses Florida of violating the rights of suspected drunk drivers.
Channel 9 found out two Orlando attorneys are asking a federal judge to approve a $50 million class action lawsuit. The suit argues the state violates due process rights by suspending or confiscating driver's licenses before a judge is involved in the process.
Channel 9's Michael Lopardi asked one of the attorneys who filed the suit why he’s fighting a program that could keep suspected drunk drivers off the road.
