‘Let’s-a go!’: Super Nintendo World opens at Universal Studios Japan

“Let’s-a go!” The gang from the Mushroom Kingdom now has a home at Universal Studios Japan.

Super Nintendo World is officially open in Japan. Universal celebrated the expansion’s grand opening Thursday.

The land features Mario Kart and Yoshi-themed rides and attractions, as well as restaurants and shops. Popular game-theme settings like Peach’s Castle and Bowser’s Castle tower over the area.

Guests can also participate in an all-new type of “Asobi” play experience where they will jump, punch question-mark blocks and collect virtual coins.

A Power-Up Band is also available to purchase in the land, which syncs to guests’ smart phones and allows them to track their score and compete with other park guests.

Super Nintendo World is expected to be added to Epic Universe, which will be Universal Orlando Resort’s fourth theme park in Orlando.

Universal paused construction on Epic Universe in July 2020 due to the pandemic.

Epic Universe will feature a new theme park, an entertainment center, hotels, shops, restaurants and more, according to Universal.

The park will be located a few miles from Universal Orlando’s current theme parks.
