ORLANDO, Fla. — A Central Florida-based dog-rescue group is searching for foster families to take in some needy animals.
Last weekend, Poodle and Pooch Rescue made an unusual out-of-state trip to a Georgia shelter to rescue 30 dogs, and the organization is searching for families to take care of the canines until they’re adopted.
Many of the animals are sick, but a local vet is helping care for them before placing them in foster care.
“To be a foster family all you need is a little bit of time,” rescuer Michele Wacker said. “We provide all the supplies; it doesn't cost you anything.”
