1 dead, 3 injured in SR 408 crash; all westbound lanes shut down

ORLANDO, Fla. — Major delays are building along State Road 408 due to a crash.

All westbound lanes are shut down near Rosalind Avenue.

Orlando police said one person died and three people were taken to a hospital.

Four others were involved in the crash but are expected to be OK.

Police said there will be significant traffic delays on the 408.

At around 6 a.m., traffic was backed up for miles. Hundreds of cars were stuck in the traffic jam.

There were also several emergency service vehicles at the scene.

Debris was spread across the roadway.

Traffic was being diverted off at Mills Avenue.
