Man accused of exposing himself to multiple women in Deltona

DELTONA, Fla. — The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating four incidents in which a man is accused of exposing himself in public to women in Deltona.

All four incidents are believed to involve the same suspect, authorities said.

The first incident was reported shortly before 10 p.m. on Feb. 3 near Belen Drive and Mentmore Circle.

Two female victims reported that a man wearing only tennis shoes exposed himself to them while touching himself, then ran from the area and got into a dark-colored pickup truck.

The second incident was reported on March 18 about a half-mile away.

A woman told deputies that she was on her front porch about 8:30 p.m. when a man walked into her yard wearing only shoes and a beanie cap. He was touching himself as he approached her, she said.

The woman screamed for her husband and ran inside the house, and the suspect ran away. The husband drove around the neighborhood looking for him without any luck.

The third incident was reported on March 27 near Fort Smith Boulevard and Battersea Avenue.

A woman was sitting in a garage shortly before 9 p.m. when she said she saw a man standing in the street in front of the driveway. As she approached him to see what he wanted, she realized that he was naked and touching himself.

At that point, the man ran away and got into a dark-colored pickup truck parked down the street.

The most recent incident happened Sunday night, when a female jogger told deputies that she came across a man sitting on a bus stop bench at Fort Smith Boulevard and Tassel Terrace about 11:30 p.m.

The man was clothed, unlike the descriptions given in the three previous incidents. As the woman jogged closer, the man got off the bench, blocked the sidewalk, exposed himself and began touching himself, she said.

The woman ran away and was picked up by her husband. She said she saw a black pickup truck pull in front of their vehicle and drive away, the same truck that she recalled seeing parked nearby when she started her jog.

"Thank God he hasn't hurt anyone. We don't want him to do this to anybody else," said Sheriff's spokesman Andrew Gant.

The descriptions of the suspect and his vehicle were similar in each incident, authorities said.

The man is believed to be white or Hispanic and in his early 20s. He is between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall and has dark hair and a medium to muscular build.

His pickup is described as a dark-colored, full-sized truck with a silver toolbox in the back.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 386-860-7030.
