Man accused of committing three armed robberies in three days, Marion County deputies say

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A 33-year-old man was arrested in Marion County after investigators said he robbed a Subway and two convenience stores at knifepoint over the course of three days.

Myatt Lee Rickman was arrested in Gaitway Plaza in Ocala on Thursday night.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Rickman is accused of going to a Subway restaurant on Maricamp Road at about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday armed with a knife.

After holding an employee at knifepoint, he was able to flee the restaurant with an undetermined amount of cash, deputies said.

The next day, Rickman is accused of going to Diamond Oil on Northeast 36th Avenue at about 10 p.m. and robbing the store, again armed with a knife.

After a third armed robbery Thursday evening at a Kangaroo Express on West Silver Springs Boulevard, the Ocala Police Department was able to track Rickman down and take him into custody, deputies said.

He was being held without bond at the Marion County Jail.
