Man gets 44 years in DUI crash that killed Orlando father, 3 sons

CLEARWATER, Fla. — A man guilty of causing a crash that killed an Orlando father and his three sons has been sentenced to more than 44 years in prison.

Demetrius Jordan pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter in June and admitted he was high on marijuana when he ran a red light and slammed into Roy McConnell's car in St. Petersburg in August 2010.

McConnell and his three adult sons, Roy III, Nathan and Kelly, were vacationing at the time. All four were killed.

Jordan was sentenced to 44 years for each of the five counts against him, but his sentences will run concurrently.
