BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a man walking on the road.

Just before 8 p.m. Friday, troopers said they responded to a crash on U.S. 1 and Elkcam Boulevard.
Investigators said a 36-year-old Cocoa man was trying to cross the road when he walked into the path of an SUV.

The man was then run over by a truck and died.
His name has not been released.
