Man hospitalized after Cocoa shooting, police say

COCOA, Fla. — A 44-year-old man is in the hospital after being shot multiple times early Saturday in Cocoa, police said.

The shooting occurred around 4:20 a.m. on the 600 block of Peachtree Street, police said.

Police said the early investigation indicates the shooting was not a random act.

Police did not identify the man who was shot or state what condition the man was in.

Detectives are investigating a possible motive, police said.
