Human remains found in burned-out vehicle in Marion County

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Marion County deputies are investigating after they found human remains in a burned-out vehicle.

Deputies said they responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle on NE 231st Ave. in Silver Springs around 10 a.m. on Wednesday and found a car destroyed by fire with human remains inside.

Investigators believe the fire started on Oct. 7.

Deputies are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to call Detective Danny Pinder at 352-368-3508. If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP and reference 22-60 in your tip.
