MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Marion County firefighters rescued a dog from a house fire on Thursday night.

Firefighters said a neighbor called 911 to report that a home on the 11000 block of SE 61st Avenue, Belleview, was on fire.

Officials said flames and heavy smoke were coming from the home.

Firefighter paramedics went inside to search the home and found a dog, named Cuya. Firefighters said Cuya was brought outside and given life-saving oxygen through a donated pet oxygen mask.
