Megabus station security guard accused of sexual battery

ORLANDO, Fla. — A security guard at the Orlando Megabus station is accused of threatening a woman and raping her after she missed a bus to Miami.

The victim told investigators that she missed her connecting bus to Miami on Sunday night.

According to deputies, a Megabus employee suggested that the victim spend the night at a security guard's apartment because the lobby had closed.

"I wish this whole area was open 24 hours instead of closing it at midnight, and then people have to wait six hours until their bus comes. Where do you expect to go?" rider Nina Rauhauser said.

An arrest report says the woman went with Pierre Dubuisson to his apartment near S. Orange Blossom Trail. Investigators said Dubuisson, who was armed with a gun, told her that he wouldn't take her back to the bus station if she didn't have sex with him.

"I wouldn't trust anybody here," Rauhauser said.

Dubuisson is accused of sexually assaulting the victim at his home. He was charged with sexual battery and booked into the Orange County Jail.

The security guard is a contract employee and works for Diamond Security. The company said Dubuisson has been placed on unpaid leave and is not allowed to return to the Megabus station.

Megabus released a statement to WFTV about the incident:

"We are aware of the accusation by one of our passengers about a contracted security guard at our stop. Megabus.com has notified the police and are assisting with their investigation.... Safety of our passengers and employees is our number one priority."
