Mount Dora to host ribbon-cutting for Nathaniel Bell Community Resource Center

The new 31,100-square-foot facility will offer recreation, education, technology and community resources.

, Fla. — The city of Mount Dora will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the completion of the Nathaniel Bell Community Resource & Recreation Center on Monday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m.

The new 31,100-square-foot facility is located at 1010 Lincoln Ave.

The city planned the facility to function as a central hub for community resources, programming, and organizational partnerships.

The facility features a range of amenities, including a computer and technology lab, a commercial teaching kitchen, an indoor basketball court, educational classrooms, and community meeting and conference spaces. It also includes flexible office spaces for telehealth appointments and resource providers, a child watch area, locker rooms, and other supporting recreational amenities.

Programs at the center will focus on health and wellness, education, workforce development, housing and financial resources, youth and family services, and technology training.

City officials will release a separate announcement for the grand opening.
