New build-to-rent project to break ground; see where

Work has begun in Osceola County on a new build-to-rent project, with the official groundbreaking taking place Jan. 10.

Miami-based Wolfson Development Co. is the group heading the Encanto Isla project on Buenaventura Boulevard, in the Buena Ventura Lakes area, northeast of Kissimmee and southwest of Orlando International Airport.

Why this matters: Build-to-rent projects such as Encanto Isla may represent an important way to add inventory of housing product in Central Florida, where a shortage is present, at a time when buying a home has become more difficult.
