ORLANDO, Fla. — A new Hispanic Heritage Month concert will bring together Latin music and charitable giving, with a Central Florida nonprofit set to benefit from the event.
Suncoast Credit Union and the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando announced Juntos y con Ritmo, an inaugural concert scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa.
The lineup includes Latin Grammy-winning Cuban duo Gente de Zona, merengue group Grupo Manía and Alexandra “The Bachata Queen,” formerly of the duo Monchy & Alexandra.
The concert begins at 7 p.m.
A free pre-concert celebration is scheduled to begin outside the arena at 5 p.m. and will include entertainment, nonprofit showcases and other community activities.
Concert proceeds will support nonprofits
As part of the initiative, Hispanic chambers of commerce across Suncoast Credit Union’s service area will select local nonprofits to receive a portion of the concert proceeds.
The Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando will choose an organization serving the Central Florida community.
Organizers have not yet announced which local nonprofit will receive the funding.
“The Hispanic Chamber will select a local nonprofit organization to benefit from a portion of the concert proceeds, extending the impact of this celebration beyond the stage and into our Central Florida community,” the chamber said.
Suncoast Credit Union members will also be eligible for 50% off qualifying concert tickets.
More information and tickets are available through Suncoast Credit Union’s Juntos y con Ritmo event page.
