ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Students and staff were evacuated from Dr. Phillips Elementary School on Thursday morning after the school received a suspicious phone call, according to Orange County Public Schools.
OCPS said the caller indicated there was a “device” inside a classroom. It was unclear whether the caller meant a computer or another type of device.
The school evacuated the campus as a precaution and contacted law enforcement. Officers searched the entire campus but found nothing.
The school was given the all-clear, and students and staff have returned to the building. Normal school operations have resumed.
