ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The artists behind St. Petersburg’s #PaintItPink public art project will meet the community from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Roche Bobois St. Pete Tower Sales Gallery, located at 106 Central Ave., Suite C.

Visitors can meet the muralists and use virtual-reality goggles to explore floor plans, finishes and views inside the future Roche Bobois St. Pete Tower.

The #PaintItPink initiative transformed six buildings near Fourth Street South and Fourth Avenue South with bright pink paint and murals created by local artists.

Five works from the project will become permanent, full-scale installations inside the new residential tower. They include a piece by local artist Kris Markovich, whose work won the project’s People’s Choice vote.

Developers said a construction fence is expected to go up around the site within the next few weeks. The fence will feature large displays of artwork from the #PaintItPink campaign.

The planned 29-story tower at 344 Fourth St. S will include 164 residences. Developers say it will be the first Roche Bobois-branded residential tower in the United States and is expected to be completed in 2029.
