ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County has awarded Central Florida Dreamplex a $15,000 Youth Sports Enhancement Grant to help expand its Orlando Magic Dreamers youth wheelchair basketball program.

The grant will be used to purchase uniforms and specialized sports wheelchairs, expanding access to adaptive sports for athletes ages 5 to 18.

Orange County officials said the Youth Sports Enhancement Grant provides financial support for facility improvements and program enhancements for eligible nonprofit organizations that offer public youth sports programs.

Central Florida Dreamplex CEO Cameron Gomes said the funding will help more young people get on the court, build confidence and experience being part of a team.
