ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County residents will have their first chance Thursday to weigh in on the county’s proposed budget, which totals more than $9 billion.
County commissioners recently approved the budget proposal after each county department was asked to outline how a potential 10% funding cut would affect its operations.
The discussion comes as county leaders consider the impact of those cuts and what they could mean for county services and programs.
The public hearings are scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 10, and Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at 5:01 p.m.
Both meetings will take place in the BCC Chambers at the Orange County Administration Center.
Residents will have an opportunity to share their thoughts as commissioners continue working through the proposed budget.
