ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An Orange County Walmart is back open after a suspicious device was found inside the store prompting an evacuation Sunday.
The device was found about 9:30 a.m. at the store on John Young Parkway and Sand Lake Road.
A bomb squad was sent to the scene to clear the device.
Customers and employees were asked to leave the store as officials investigated.
The store remained closed until about 1:30 p.m., when deputies said that no device was found in the suspicious package.
No other information has been released.
The incident marked the second evacuation of an Orange County Walmart this week.
The Walmart on Semoran Boulevard near Dixie Bell Drive was evacuated Friday after police said someone called in a bomb threat to the store.
After clearing the store, a package was located that could not be accounted for by employees.
It turned out not to be hazardous, and the store was reopened.
A Walmart store in Daytona Beach was also evacuated Friday due to a bomb threat.
That threat was also unfounded, and the store was reopened shortly after.
