OCOEE, Fla. — A 15-year-old boy was fatally shot at a home in Ocoee early Monday, according to Orange County deputies.

Deputies said the shooting happened at 4:40 a.m. in the 500 block of 2nd Street.

“That’s terrible. This is ... I never experienced here in 30 years that I’ve been here,” neighbor Eddy Vega said. “I mean this neighborhood is nice and quiet.”

Deputies said they located Jesus Ramirez, 15, and rendered aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives said the shooting was not random, and that there is no ongoing danger to the public.

At least 10 Orange County patrol cars were seen on 2nd Street in Ocoee.
