Disney World to reduce park hours beginning in September

Shortly after reopening due to the COVID-19 shutdown, all four Walt Disney World theme parks will reduce park hours following Labor Day weekend, according to the official website.

New park hours begin Sept. 8, according to Disney.

Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom all will reduce operations by one hour:

  • Magic Kingdom will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.,
  • Hollywood Studios will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Animal Kingdom will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Epcot will reduce its operations by two hours, and will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Disney Springs will remain open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Disney recently reported its quarterly earnings and said that it lost $3.5 billion due in part to closing its theme parks because of the coronavirus pandemic.

After reopening, Disney announced it would be closing some attractions in Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. Read more here.
