Firefighters: 11 people, including 9 juveniles, transported after overdoses at behavioral center

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Eleven people, including nine juveniles and two adults, were rushed to the hospital on Sunday evening from a behavioral center in Orange County after possible overdoses, firefighters said.

Orange County Fire Rescue confirmed all the patients were found at the Central Florida Behavioral Center on Central Florida Parkway.

Paramedics said they were first called to the center at around 5:30 p.m. after reports that a girl had overdosed.

Units took the girl to the hospital and were then called back to assist 10 more people, officials said.

Firefighters said all patients had varying symptoms, and it’s unclear if the overdoses are connected.

Orange County deputies are investigating what caused the overdoses.
