Man, 28, drowns after drowning toddler son in Orlando lake

ORLANDO, Fla. — A 28-year-old man drowned in Lake George on Thursday after drowning his toddler son, the Orlando Police Department said Monday.

Police said they were called at about 7:45 p.m. to the lake near Dixie Belle and Lake Margaret drives after the bodies of Miguel Leonardo Hernandez and Kevin Leonardo-Cisnero were discovered.

Kevin was 1 year and 7 months old.

Detectives said Hernandez had an ongoing domestic dispute with the child’s mother.

Investigators said Hernendez drowned his son, returned to the water for an unknown reason and also drowned.

Police described the case as a murder-suicide.
