More than a dozen cars broken into near Lake Baldwin Park, police say

Officials are investigating after they said several residents at an apartment complex woke up to notice their cars had been broken into.

Police said at least 12 cars were broken into at Infinity Residences at the Park overnight.

Residents believe the break-ins happened between 2 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

Some residents said that their checkbooks, wallet and some cash was stolen from their vehicles.

One victim told Channel 9 that when they called 911 to report the break-ins, they were informed that there were more break-ins in the Baldwin Park area.

Officials are still continuing to gather information in the case.
