ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County has been showcasing its dedication to a better economic future this week.
The county celebrated this year’s event Friday on the front lawn of the county administration building.
The celebration included native plant tours, test drives of electric fleet vehicles, as well as various vegan food options and vendors.
Orange County officials said the key to a cleaner Earth is to recycle.
“So, the biggest problem with residential recycling is that people want to put their recycling items inside a plastic bag when they stick it in the bin,” said Aimee Krivan, the pollution prevention program coordinator with Orange County. “We don’t want you to stick it in the plastic bin, just stick the items in by itself.”
The goal of Orange County’s sustainability initiative is to fully commit to spreading environmental awareness.
