Orlando International Airport sees holiday travel swell ahead of Thanksgiving

ORLANDO, Fla. — Holiday travel is heating up once again at Orlando International Airport.

Things were busy all weekend, as people boarded flights to see friends and family.

Travelers were in long lines Monday morning as they waited to get through security.

The busiest travel day before the holiday will be Wednesday.

Saturday, Sunday and next Monday will also be some of the busiest days.

Airport leaders said this holiday season will rival pre-pandemic levels.

“We’ll have more than 1.75 million passengers going through during this holiday season. That is a 10% increase over 2021,” said Kevin Thibault, CEO of Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.

If you have a flight this week, airport officials suggest arriving three hours early.
