Prosecutors: No proof that Orlando police mistreated Markeith Loyd

Prosecutors say there is no proof that Orlando police officers mistreated accused cop killer Markeith Loyd.

The state filed a five-page response today to the defense’s motion asking to show video after Loyd’s arrest. The defense claimed police did not look objectively at this case because Loyd allegedly shot and killed Lt. Deborah Clayton.

Loyd’s defense is expected to admit to the jury that Loyd shot and killed Clayton, but argue that he was not in his right mind when he did it because he was in fear they would kill him after he killed his ex-girlfriend.

A hearing is set for Friday.
