ORLANDO, Fla. — SeaWorld Conservation announced two new partnerships on Thursday to help marine animals in need, themed appropriately after the theme park’s new attractions.
Theme park officials said SeaWorld Orlando is partnering with Alaska SeaLife Center to support Alaskan marine mammal awareness and rehabilitation in conjunction with Arctic-themed coaster Ice Breaker.
SeaWorld San Diego is partnering with Penguins International to support species conservation in conjunction with the new Emperor coaster.
Officials said a portion of proceeds from Ice Breaker and Emperor merchandise will be donated to the organizations, and that the public can learn more about them, and how they can help, through in-park educational programming.
Representatives from each organization will attend the ribbon-cutting ceremonies in the park on Feb. 18 for Ice Breaker and March 12 for Emperor.
