ORLANDO, Fla. — They’re going to Disney World! Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammates Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski are continuing the tradition of a celebratory Walt Disney World visit after their Super Bowl victory on Sunday.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, Gronkowski is set to visit the theme park on Monday, while plans are still in the works for Brady’s visit, likely within the coming months.
Game MVP Tom Brady threw three first-half touchdowns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers used a smothering defense to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.
The annual “I’m going to Disney World!” commercials featuring the pair are set to start airing on Monday. Disney officials said the commercials have been an annual Super Bowl tradition since 1987, when New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms first appeared in the spot following his team’s Super Bowl victory.
Officials said Disney World hopes to be able to bring back other Super Bowl traditions next year, including letting football and Disney fans see some of the winning team inside the park.
