ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A woman was killed and a man was injured on Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at State Road 520 and Maxim Parkway in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash involving a Toyota Camry and a Mitsubishi Lancer happened near Orlando at about 2:33 p.m.
The adult woman driving the Lancer was pronounced dead at the scene. The adult man driving the Camry suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The crash shut down both directions of S.R. 520 as troopers investigated. Authorities have not released either driver’s name because official identification is pending.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
