ORLANDO, Fla. — “The City Beautiful” just earned a major caffeine boost.
A new WalletHub study ranks Orlando the No. 1 best coffee city in America.
The personal finance site compared the 100 largest U.S. cities using a dozen metrics that measure coffee-lover friendliness.
Factors included the number of coffee shops, prices, household spending on coffee, and how many people brew at home.
Orlando came out on top, edging out traditional coffee powerhouses.
Households in the city spend an average of $154 a year on coffee.
The report also highlights Orlando’s strong showing in affordable coffee shops that earn high ratings (at least 4.5 out of 5 stars).
Local coffee culture has been growing steadily, with plenty of options for everything from quick grab-and-go cups to specialty pour-overs.
WalletHub noted Orlando also ranks high for coffee and tea shops offering free Wi-Fi and even leads the nation in donut shops per capita, perfect for pairing with that morning brew.
Portland, Oregon, took second place, while Miami landed third. Seattle, long associated with coffee, ranked lower on the list.
