A local real estate developer aims to go the extra mile with its new affordable housing community.

Altamonte Springs-based Wendover Housing Partners LLC this month opened Warley Park in Sanford. The 81-unit apartment community was built to house homeless residents in the area.

Residents are not only provided a place to live, which is covered through housing vouchers, but they also have access to on-site case managers who can help them access mental health care, childcare, job training and more.
