People thought it was a shooting, but Chief Orlando Rolon reaffirmed there’s no indication anyone fired a gun.

Police said they believe it was someone who possibly set off their own fireworks that started it all.

Police said the domino effect first started near Central Avenue, just east of Rosalind Boulevard.

On Tuesday morning, Fiona Farrell and her sister ,Grace, were looking for what they left behind.

When they saw hundreds of people running toward them, Farrell said, “Instinctively, we just stood up and started running.”

The incident at Lake Eola happened just two hours after a suspect was arrested for shooting and killing seven people at a Fourth of July event in Illinois.

Rolon said it could have just been a reflection, other fireworks or a list of other things that caused the first people to run on Pine Street.

“Citizens in that general area have the answers,” Rolon said.

Vernon Price grabbed his daughter and ran when it happened.

“When you see people running like this, you think gunshots,” he said.

Police are asking for any and all footage near Pine and Rosaline and Central.
