OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — The Osceola County School District wants you to join its team of bus drivers.

The county is holding a job fair on Tuesday to help with the bus driver shortage the district is facing.
The job fair will be taking place at 401 Simpson Road in Kissimmee from 8 a.m. to noon.
Driver do not need to have a CDL. The Transportation Services Department will provide you with the proper training to get a CDL certification.

According to the district, the benefits of becoming a school bus driver include:
- Competitive wages.
- Excellent benefits, including the Florida Retirement System plan after completion of a probationary period, an employee wellness program, use of the Center for Employee Health and medical insurance at no cost to the employee, an Employee Assistance Program, and more.
- No nights and weekends required and off on most major holidays.
- Flexible schedules.
- Assistance provided with studying for and taking the CDL written permit test.

Applicants will be asked to provide their driver’s license, social security card and three years of driving records during the application process.
