Man pretending to be McDonald’s cashier fakes taking order, makes off with cash, deputies say

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Would you like fries with that? How about a side of cash?

Osceola County deputies said a man walked into a Kissimmee McDonald’s Sunday night wearing an employee uniform before walking up behind a cash register and helping another man place an order.

Seconds later, the cash register drawer opens, and surveillance footage shows the man pretending to be a worker grab a couple wads of cash before he runs out one door of the John Young Parkway restaurant and the other man runs out the other.
