Crash with overturned septic tanker truck shuts down part of I-4 for hours

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A section of I-4 in Osceola County has reopened after a rollover crash Wednesday morning.

12:30 p.m. update:

Traffic is moving again on a stretch of I-4 westbound in Osceola County after it was shut down by an overturned truck.

The crash happened around 5:15 a.m. near World Drive near Kissimmee.

Troopers said the driver of a septic tanker truck hit a semi, causing a chain reaction crash that lead the tanker to flip.

Investigators said the driver of the tanker was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition and a passenger suffered minor injuries.

Two other drivers weren’t hurt.

A crash has all westbound lanes of I-4 closed Wednesday morning in Osceola County.

The Florida Department of Transportation said the crash happened around 5:15 a.m. near World Drive.
