TITUSVILLE, Fla. — A dog who was found abandoned and chained to a stop sign will be trained to become a therapy dog for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Titusville police found PD, pronounced "Petey," chained to a stop sign on Old Cheney Highway and Interstate 95 on April 29.
The dog was taken to Brevard County Animal Services. Police said Friday that he will be trained by Paws and Stripes to become a therapy dog for the sheriff's office.
