The results of the survey will be addressed at the Flagler Board of County Commissioners meeting on June 19 at 5 p.m. and at the Palm Coast City Council Meeting on June 20 at 9 a.m.

The survey was mailed to a random sampling of 4,500 households within the City of Palm Coast and unincorporated areas of Flagler County to collect statistically valid results, according to a news release.

The open-link survey provided all residents with the opportunity to provide feedback and the results of the two surveys were kept separate.

The feedback provided through the “Planning Our Parks” initiative will result in a unified, countywide Parks and Recreation Master Plan, said county officials.

“This has been a remarkable testament to the power of unity and shared vision,” said County Administrator Heidi Petito. “Together, we are able to create an enduring legacy of beauty, recreation, and connection for generations to come, and, overall, better ways to serve the community.”

The presentation will be published on the Palm Coast website and the Flagler County website after the two meetings.

“We’re excited for an inclusive and comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan to serve as a blueprint for the entire community,” said Palm Coast City Manager Denise Bevan. “This will give us information about where we need to improve, how we can grow Parks and Recreation responsibly, and what additional programs and recreational activities the community desires.”
