Poinciana Boulevard ramps onto Osceola Parkway set to close temporarily

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Osceola County will temporarily close the Poinciana Boulevard entrance and exit ramps onto the Osceola Parkway as crews install electronic tolling.

According to county officials, the closure is scheduled to begin on April 17 at 10 p.m. and re-open by 5 a.m. on April 18.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes or follow the detour route below:

  • Drivers on Poinciana Boulevard traveling west on Osceola Parkway will be directed south on Poinciana Boulevard or on SR 535, Kissimmee-Vineland Road, east on US 192, north on Seralago Boulevard, and back to Osceola Parkway.
  • Customers traveling on Eastbound Osceola Parkway that intend to exit to Poinciana Boulevard will be directed south on Seralago Boulevard, east on U.S. 192, then north on Poinciana Boulevard.

All tolls will be collected electronically at the Shingle Creek Mainline Toll Plaza and Poinciana Boulevard ramps on the Osceola Parkway by the end of spring.

Electronic tolling allows customers to increase efficiency and be safer on highway speed as they won’t have to stop to pay for tolls, according to county officials.
