Police: Couple took nude photos of 12-year-old who wanted to be Playboy model

MELBOURNE, Fla. — Melbourne police are sifting through evidence that could bring more charges against a couple accused in a disturbing crime.

Leslie Gay, 34, is accused of letting her boyfriend, Christopher Lucas, 43, take nude pictures of Gay's 12-year-old relative.

According to investigators, Gay said they did it because the girl wanted to be a Playboy model.

The couple was arrested at a house on Audubon Drive.

Police said they confiscated a laptop computer shared by the couple and said they are looking for potential evidence of child pornography.

According to police, it was an anonymous tip about child neglect that led police and Department of Children and Families investigators to the couple's home.

Police said they believe that over the past several months Lucas took nude photos of the young girl in provocative and sexual poses.

"I just can't see it, but I don't know them. But you never, never know," said neighbor Lisa Crawford.

Crawford said she noticed police activity around the couple's home last week, but said she had no idea why police were paying her neighbors a visit.

Gay is being held in the Brevard County jail on a $70,000 bond.  Lucas has bonded out.

According to police, there were at least six photo shoots involving the 12-year-old girl.

Both Lucas and Gay are charged with lewd and lascivious conduct and sexual performance of a child.

Police said depending on what images investigators find on the confiscated laptop there could also be charges for possession of child pornography.
