ORLANDO, Fla. — Three different drivers all said they were minding their own business when they were attacked in a small area near Orlando International Airport.
Each victim described a different suspect.
Channel 9’s Racquel Asa spoke to the brother of one man who thought he’d gotten into a fender bender, but was then robbed at gunpoint.
Rammy Bashir’s brother has had three panic attacks since Monday’s incident.
Raw: Victim's brother describes fender bender robbery
What started out as a trip to the convenience store for a sandwich at the corner of Goldenrod and Hoffner roads ended with him getting robbed after a minor fender bender.
“He walks back to the rear bumper and there were two guys in the other cab. The driver comes out with a gun and puts it in his abdomen and said, ‘Give me your wallet,’” said Bashir.
That wasn’t the only thing that happened Monday in the area.
Police said a woman was being tailgated at Lee Vista Boulevard and Goldenrod Road when a man pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot her with her kids in the car.
Less than a mile away at Semoran and Lee Vista boulevards, a man was carjacked not far from his job.
In that crime, the victim told police he pulled up to a bus stop to take a phone call.
That’s when another car pulled up behind him and a man walked up to his window and told him to get out.
Despite all the crimes happening days apart and so close to each other, police said they aren’t connected because the descriptions of the suspects are not the same.
Orlando police urge residents to pull over in a safe, well lit, public place after a fender-bender.
