Driver dies when car falls from SR 408 onto I-4 Express lanes near downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — Police are investigating a fatal crash on Interstate 4 near State Route 408 in Orlando Monday.

Officers said the crash happened just after 10 a.m. and believe the vehicle was attempting to exit I-4 to SR 408 when the accident happened.

Orlando Police Sergeant Russ Hutto said, “During the preliminary investigation cars probably going too fast, and went up and over the barrier and then fell down.”

Police shut down the I-4 Express Lanes at SR 408 in both directions while officers were investigating the crash.

Officials say no other cars were involved in the crash.
