CLERMONT, Fla. — Police are still searching for a shooter after a gunman shot and killed a young man Friday night in a Clermont Publix parking lot.
Andrew Jones, 21, was killed and police are asking for the community's help in finding the shooter because there is no surveillance video covering the parking lot.
"Our detectives are following up on any and all leads at this point that are coming in. They're processing the evidence and following up on any leads the evidence might give them," Clermont Police Sgt. Shane Strickland said.

Detectives said they're searching for a white Volkswagen with license plate number N913Q1 that Jones was last seen driving.
Authorities said they believe the killer could have used that vehicle as a getaway car and that it could have suffered some damage.
"Around the same time frame as the shooting itself there was a report of a white Volkswagen hitting an embankment in the Oakland area. We were able to recover a piece of bumper from that area," Strickland said.
Police said they still don't have any suspects and are trying to figure out the events and motive that led to the shooting.
Jones' family declined to comment.
